The Congress was organized by Fundación DOCOMOMO Ibérico, the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Extremadura, the Dirección General de Arquitectura, Consejería de Sanidad y Políticas Sociales, Junta de Extremadura, and the Universidad de Extremadura, the Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural de España, the Universidade de Évora and the Ordem dos Arquitectos de Portugal.
Three were the areas of the congress: “From the vernacular to modernity”, “the traces of the Modern Movement: the rural settlements” and “Heritage of the Modern Movement as a tool for the future and new opportunities”
